Steve was a great general manager, and his sudden death is a huge loss to our sanitary district. Steve and I had a long conversation last weekend about the direction we want to take our agency in the next two years, and it is unfortunate that Steve will no longer be here to give me guidance.
He will be missed...
it is unfortunate that Steve will no longer be here to give me guidance.
It is unfortunate that Steve is no longer with us. But, it is the job of our elected to give guidance to staff. Not the other way around.
I've known Steve Anderson since he won his first council seat in 1992. He was a great leader, quiet but forceful when he had to be.
Thoughts and prayers to his wife Josie and entire family.
I mainly knew Steve as the initiater of the "Trees For La Habra Project" and the Sonora High Tree Farm. Because of Steve's work La Habra now has 100s of extra municipal trees. Solving La Habra's blight problem
was one of Steve's many passions. Sarting the La Habra
Beautifiction Committee was another Steve Anderson accomplishment. The Trees for La Habra Committee
will plant a tree in his memory.
May he rest in peace.
Steve was Little League in La Habra- without him we would not have any baseball for the special needs children. Steve was a visionary and would always listen to our voice.
La Habra City Little League Baseball will forever be indebted to Steve and will rededicate his field at our opening day ceremony on March 1st 2008 in his memory.
It is a huge loss for us all that he is gone.
