Janet Nixing Her Appointment Of Hit Piece Bag Man To Airport Commission?

Yesterday morning, I posted that Sup. Janet Nguyen had agendized for Board approval the appointment of Nick Lecong, a member of her staff, to the Orange County Airport Commission.
As noted in the post, Nick Lecong was the bag man behind a controversial and shady independent expenditure against Janet rival Carlos Bustamante in last year's 1st Supervisor District special election -- a move that greatly angered key members of the Lincoln Club of Orange County.
This morning, Supervisor Nguyen sent this memo to the County Clerk requesting Lecong's appointment by deleted from the agenda.
Is this a tactical retreat, or have sensible heads in Sup. Nguyen's office prevailed? Janet is in for the latest fight of her political life this June and although she is a tough and proven campaigner, she'll need every hand enthusiastically on deck, and appointing Lecong needlessly rips the scab off the Lincoln Club's skin.

First thing she did correct all year. Nick Lecong, who goes by the name of Le Cong Tam in the Vietnamese community is a shady businessman with questionable business practices.
He tried to push his partners out of the Regent West Adult Day Care Center project after the business became successful. They sued and a trial court ruled against Lecong.
This is one character that should not be on any important commission. It is bad enough he's a "Policy Advisor" for Janet.

What is your point? Whether Nick Lecong is a millionaire or not does that fact qualify him to be appointed to the Airport commission? Please elaborate your statement.
Nick's a person wants to show off in the Little Saigon events.

Questionable and shady practices? If they were so shady- why would Van Tran willingly take his campaign cash. And, if we want to talk shady, Jubal why don't you look into Van Tran's wife and her shady business practices. Seems a little hypocritcal to look into one appointment and not another. I can find plenty of wealthy county appointees- and more state appointees. I remember that there was also a fundraiser that Mr. Lecong held for Daucher, another person who was happy to take the money. And, if the above posters actually did a minimal amount of research, they would see that Mr. Lecong does have airport experience. He was a Reagan Republican before you posters were even born! Stop being so jealous. And, didn't Lincoln Club endorse Janet? If so, I doubt that they are so thin skinned to complain about an appointment.

I don't think anyone is jealous of Janet or Nick at this point.... as you know, people want to stay away from these names ..... not a popular names, I might add.
This thread of comments along with the comments to the previous post on this are pretty messed up.

Don't attempt to divert the issue of Nick Le Cong's shady activities and why people are questioning Janet Nguyen's blatant "pay to play" approach. Your comparisons are so crass and ridiculous, to say the least. Let me help clarify a few things for your biased, muddled head:
One, Nick Le Cong was a campaign advisor and, now, a PAID county employee whose questionable campaign acitivities are wholly RELATED to Janet Nguyen, his candidate and current boss.
Two, as a County government employee receiving taxpayers' money and working at the public trough, Nick Le Cong, or any other government employees, should be held accountable to a different standard (not necessarily higher, but different).
Three, Nick Le Cong is not a private citizen for purposes of this latest scrutiny in that he is a senior Janet Nguyen advisor and appointee at both the official and political levels.
Four, based on Nick Le Cong's involvement in, and complete (and continuing!)evasion of Jubal's inquiries on the funding source of the IE hit piece during the election, it is fair to question Nick Le Cong's activities and that of his current boss, who was the recipient of his questionable campaign activities and the source of that finance!

You characterization is waaaaay off base.
Hack 'N' Flack degenerated into slimy anonymous commenters by Sacto legislative staffers about who was sleeping with whom.
My posts on this subject haven't depended on rumor and innuendo because they have been factual and thoroughly researched.
