The indefatigable Keith Rodenhuis, Treasurer Chriss Street's director of public affiars, sent over a press release a few minutes ago, touting the results of the independent assessment the Board of Supes commission of Street's management of county investments, as well the executive summary of the report. The review was conducted by PFM Asset Management, which will present it's findings at tomorrow's Board of Supes meeting.

According to the executive summary:

"Based on our review of documentation, analysis of reports and discussions with County employees, we found a high degree of transparency with regard to the County's investments. Further, we were impressed with the diligence with which the Treasurer and his staff approach the investment function. In our opinion, the County's investments are being  managed in a thoughtful, prudent manner."

The report also contained some recommendations for how Street can improve his office, which you can red in the executive summary.

And so, another reprieve for Treasurer Chriss Street. Watching him is like watching a guy walk a hi-wire without a net. Just when you think he's about to lose his balance and tumble to his doom, bam! -- he's back on his feet again.
