"Hillary: The Movie" Makes OC Debut This Saturday
7:05 pm 'sold out'; Seating now open for 9 pm show
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 29, 2008) - The Lincoln Club of Orange County is hosting two complimentary screenings of "Hillary: The Movie," a documentary about Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton, on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Regency South Coast Village Theater in Santa Ana. While the 7:05 p.m. show is 'sold out,' seating is available for the 9 p.m. screening.
The Lincoln Club of Orange County is an executive producer of the movie, which was created by Citizens United (www.citizensunited.org), an organization dedicated to the traditional American values of limited government, freedom of enterprise, strong families, and national sovereignty and security.
This is the first time the movie will be screened in Orange County. It has been shown in early primary states, and plans are underway to distribute it to major theaters after the Feb. 5th primary elections. The film features interviews with notable commentators such as Dick Morris, Ann Coulter, and Newt Gingrich.
"Our goal was to remind people about the Hillary Clinton's dangerous penchant for abusing power," said Lincoln Club President Richard K. Wagner. "The most compelling parts of the movie are
the personal stories of real people whose lives were devastated by Hillary's own actions and by the ruthless Clinton machine."
Advance reservations for the 9 p.m. show are required by Jan. 31 by email or phone - membership@lincolnclub.org or 714-505-0115. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. DVDs may be purchased online: www.hillarythemovie.com.
Special guests attending the premiere include Joel Surnow, co-creator/executive producer of the Emmy award-winning TV series "24;" Cyrus Nowrasteh, who wrote and produced the ABC television movie, "The Path to 9/11;" talk radio show host John Ziegler; David Bossie, executive producer of "Hillary: The Movie and chairman of the Board and president of Citizens United; director Alan Peterson.

The Lincoln Club deserves a cigar for this movie!
I think there was some litigation on this one being more a one-sided negative campaign ad than a documentary. But this line in the release got me: "Our goal was to remind people about the Hillary Clinton's dangerous penchant for abusing power,"
As opposed to the Bush administrations record of abusing power. Have some popcorn for me boys
Dan - What is it with you haters? And what does Bush have to do with anything? You're starting to sound like Art Pedroza.
First, you haven't seen the movie. The production value is outstanding and the material is solid. It's unfortunate David Bossie had to fit so much material into a 90 minute movie, but he succeeded in making a very powerful case.
Second, my wife is a Democrat (not the loonie liberal variety, but a Democrat nonetheless). She not only thought the film was outstanding, she openly acknowledged that she would never vote for Hillary as a result.
If I could only convince the film makers to make a movie that made just as compelling a case against Obama and we'd be in luck.
Go see the movie. There are still a few tickets left for the 9:00 pm show.
First off Scott, I'm not a hater. If you want to get into a name calling battle, bring it on. But I'll take it over to the LiberalOC.com so Matt doesn't spike it. But I have accurately pointed out the abuse of power lies with Bush (FISA violations, signing statements, domestic spying on American citizens, approving torture in America's name...if you want more examples, I will provide them hate free. You can start by finding two years worth of deleted emails on GOP servers (what are you guys hiding?)
As first lady, with no executive power whatsoever, how did Hillary Clinton abuse power? As a senator, she has a track record of working across the aisle.
Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 had solid production values. But you guys hated that.....No propaganda piece your side can produce is going to change the minds of Americans who already think Republicans are not the party to lead the economy, trust with national defense, or lead the country in the right direction.
So you're wife is a Democrat (not the looney, liberal kind), but you guys really can't differentiate from moderate Democrats to lefty liberals. Most conservatives still think McCain is a liberal.
Scott..I went over to YouTube and watched the trailer; I have to sincerely thank you for the best laugh of the night (topping Giuliani's kinda/sorta concessiojn speech).
I'm still laughing. You want me to take the word of people like Robert Novak, who outed a covert CIA operative working on Iran's nuclear program; Dick Morris, a convicted sucker of prostitute's toes; Ann Coulter, an alleged plagerist and known conservative flame thrower; Mark Levin, Sean Hannity's "Cabin Boy," and Newt Gingrich, a twice divorced conservative with fidelity issues. Wow. Now there's a credible bunch of sources who all know Hillary so well.
I'll pick up this DVD at Overstock.com for 1.99 in a couple of months and even then, I would have paid too much.
But thanks again for the laugh.
Hey Dan,
For someone who is backing Hillary Clinton, you are a strange one to bring up a person's credibility.
I absolutely do not want Hillary for president. However, the filmmaker has made this film too partisan by only including people from the right wing side of the spectrum ala Ann Coulter.
There are plenty on the left side of the spectrum who are disgusted with the Clintons. If their input was included that would make the movie look more balanced and show people do not want Hillary mostly because she is simply unlikeable, even amongst her so called peers as opposed to merely being a socialist.
We all know Repubs will vote against her, but there needs to be a concerted effort to get a backlash from Democrats. But then again Bill Clinton caused plenty of self inflicted campaign damage in South Carolina.
