Or almost everyone who's running in the 1st District is.
In any case, I managed to get a hold of Janet nemesis Trung Nguyen to get his reaction to Garden Grove Councilwoman Dina Nguyen's entry into the race.
"She's very capable and will make a good candidate," said Trung. "It's a free country and anybody who wants to run, can run, and the best person will win."
Trung said he didn't have any plans of dropping out now that Dina Nguyen is running, and hasn't spoken to her this week.
I'm still trying to get a hold of Dina Nguyen.

Janet Nguyen almost served one full term before becoming a County Supervisor.
Now, Dina Nguyen, who barely got elected wants to run for Supervisor.
I feel sorry for the voters of Garden Grove.
While Santa Ana is trying to limit the number of years a Councilmember can serve, Garden Grove can't keep them around long enough.

Janet Nguyen only served from Dec 2004 to March 2007, not a full term.

Looks like Trung never saw this coming. He probably thought Dina Nguyen was taught to respect her elders with more seniority.
Finally we will have good choices to replace useless. temperament Janet and Art in coming primary.
Who is councilman Andy Quach going to support?
Both Trrung and Dina respect and like each other. Can't say the same of their opinion about Janet, who failed to garner a single Viet elected endorsement in the entire state. That fact, itself, is a revealing issue about Janet's character and personality.
Voters will have good choices to pick in this election.
My prediction: Andy Quach will pull papers tomorrow!

I have a hard time imaging that Dian and Trung Nguyen are running against each other. I bet they are working together to try and confuse Janet about who her real opponent is. I'd put money that only one of them will actually be a candidate come June (or March or whenever it is that filing actually closes). My gut says they are working together.
Why not both of them running for this seat? Let the voters choose from a field of diverse candidates. They all have their own block of supporters. One thing for sure: Janet will lose and that is a good thing.
I agree with "open field's idea". Trung and Dina are both good candidates and they can stand on their own feet. They have great respects from the communities they serve.
Trung and Dina are the last thing from "respected" in their community. Does no one else read Vietnamese news? There is a complete lack of what came out over the weekend. If Trung is so qualified and respectful, then how come he is bankrupt? Whenever there is a Vietnamese event, I can't find one person who has even heard of Dina or Trung.

You sound like Janet or one of her paid staffer desperately blogging after hours.
You must have been living in a cave for not knowing the activities of Dina or Trung, who by the way, beat Janet in the Viet community in the Special.
Don't even try to sling mud at Trung when Janet's house is full of dirt and grime. It will come out soon since you can't sweep it under the rug. Don't think what people out there don't know what Janet's mother did, and what happened to her, not to mention Janet's siblings. Sure, you know all about that, don't you.
