Attorney General Dismisses Grindle's Retaliatory Complaint Against Trung Nguyen

That was fast.
On December 4, Shirley Grindle filed a complaint against Supervisor candidate Trung Nguyen. Grindle was candid about the retaliatory nature of her complaint -- an abuse of the campaign finance enforcement system for the prupose of indirectly taking a swing at her nemesis, Mike Schroeder.
Grindle lamely tried to compare the Trung Nguyen campaign's inadvertent violations with Sup. Janet Nguyen's illegal legal defense.
In a January 2 letter, Senior Assistant Attorney General Gary W. Schons tells Grindle the AG is declining to pursue the complaint and concludes with a scathing rebuttal of Grindle's comparison of the Trung and Janet violations:
Well, Ms. Grindle certainly didn't do Sup. Janet Nguyen any favors with this intemperate, unnecessary complaint: she's guaranteed the big, bold headline Attorney General: Janet Nguyen "violated both state and county law" will be splashed across anti-Janet hit pieces in a few months.

"I know from your letter you are concerned about 'equal justice' in light if the action taken by this office and the FPPC against County Supervisor Janet Nguyen for somewhat related state and county campaign finance violations. The two situations are starkly different. First, the Janet Nguyen campaign affirmatively solicited illegal campaign contributions into an illegal account. There was no prompt realization or acknowldgement of the violations of both state and county law and no prompt refunds were made. Indeed, it was only after a complaint was raised that the Janet Nguyen campaign acknowledged its error. Her campaign's acts violated both state and county law. It is a fact that Ms. Nguyen's campaign promptly conceded error once a complaint was raised, returned the illegal contributions and cooperated with both this office and the FPPC. Ms. Nguyen's campaign stipulated to violations of state and county law and agreed to pay a stipulated fine to the state and the County of Orange. This acknowledgment of wrongdoing and cooperation were reflected in the level of fines imposed. That said, the two situations are simply not comparable.
I hope this letter adequately addresses your complaint to this office.Somehow, I doubt it will.

Maybe she's actually working for Schroeder!! Hey Adam do I get that bounty you offered a while back?
Oh Janet is royally screwed now...look at all the possible hit pieces against her:
"Illegally solicited money..." Source: FPPC
"Violated both state and county law..." Source: Attorney General's Office
"Setting up a Welfare Office..." Source: Red County/OC Blog
"Committed perjury by issuing bounced check..." Source: Orange County Register's Total Buzz
This is hard working Janet for her constituents.......... Adam P!
Yes, only time can tell when she will become a official felon......
Hey Adam, why don't you try to spin this one?
I'm not a fan of Trung, but you should just tell your client to go kiss up to the Trannies before they take Janet down with them.
Lam Pho, Trung is nice guy and you should support him.
Jaime, why dont you go pray for Janet's corrupt soul instead of telling me what to do.
With friends like Shirley, who needs the Trannies?
What a great hit piece come the june elections.
Good lord, who knew Grindle could do so much damage.
Should teach her a lesson or two about her obsession with Schroeder.
Janet:
How do you defend that:
Attorney General: Janet Nguyen "violated both state and county law"
Scott Baugh, is this the little girl that you want to support?
Is Janet someone you want to OC GOP to endorse?
Scott Baugh need to make the decision now before it's too late.
I have been telling everyone that Janet will become a greater LIABILITY for our republican party! Janet does not have the leadership skills to represent her constituents and she will continue to ruin our name.
