OC/DC: OC in the DC News

An interesting potpourri of OC politicos and behind-the-sceners in the news today.
OC's own Rep. Loretta Sanchez has introduced a resolution, mentioned in today's Washington Post "In the Loop" column, hailing the life and accomplishments of renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti. Read about it here. Pitty her party's leadership can't move the dozen or so annual government appropriations bills as efficiently as they can post office naming and celebrity celebrating bills.
The Post gossip column today has some other fun holiday news, here. Jason Roe, one time OC / LA / SD politico and longtime aide and advisor to former Rep. James Rogan (the latter, currently an OC Superior Court judge) has sent out his lobbying firm's holiday card poking fun at a certain Minneapolis airport restroom incident. True to Washington fashion, the photo card, giving Beiber Communications a run for their money, generates more attention than the message or sender themselves. Brilliant marketing both. [Disclosure: I worked for Roe and Rogan as the congressman's press secretary during his campaigns and service in Congress].
Also in the Post today, one of OC's wealthiest, Ambassador to the Netherlands Roland Arnall, joins a list of other ambassadors whose work schedules are examined, here.
