Ed Espinoza, a friend with California roots, and a former colleague, has long worked in Democratic politics.  He's blogging about his exploits in Iowa over at his blog site, here.  While I hope he and his candidates spend lots of time, money and effort on early Caucus victories in a state with a paltry seven electoral votes (vs. California's 55), the blog is nonetheless fun to read. 

California has long seen mail- and media-heavy campaigns, and outside of select state and local raises with aggressive GOTV programs, it's fun to see how much work (and money) go into chasing those votes.
