Jim Gibson Endorses Diane Harkey
Vista School Board Member was 2004 Candidate
Oceanside, CA - Vista School Board member Jim Gibson has endorsed Diane Harkey for Assembly in the 73rd District Republican Primary. Gibson was a candidate for the 73rd District in 2004, when he finished second in the GOP primary to Mimi Walters.
"I am very happy to have the support of Jim Gibson. He ran a very good campaign in 2004 and he has a strong following in the district, especially in San Diego County," said Harkey. "I look forward to working with him on ways to improve our public schools and to end wasteful and unproductive programs and mandates."
Diane Harkey, former Mayor of Dana Point and current councilmember, is a prominent Orange County Republican leader. She is the only announced candidate in the 73rd district primary. The current Assemblymember, Mimi Walters, is running for the State Senate and has endorsed Harkey.
