Posted by: Jubal | 11/23/2007 10:12 AM

NOTE TO READERS: There are several OC Register stories that -- although prominent in the print Local section -- are absent from the  horrible OCR website. For example, the page 2 story about the Seal Beach Naval Weapons station and the page 4 story about Buena Park considering seeking charter status.

The OCR posted this a couple of days ago: "New Goals For Our Web Coverage." I'd like to suggest two additions to their "8 pillars":

1) Develop a site search engine that isn't next-to-useless.

2) Ensure that stories in that day's print edition can be easily found online, rather than absent or buried deep amongst 3-7 day old stories.
