They won't even take on Jim Gilchrist? Weak.

Gilchrist appeared wearing a white bullet-proof vest, which he very conspicuously wore on top of his clothes, as opposed to underneath.

This was a blundering, tone-deaf gimmick designed to garner sympathy, and it backfired. It's hard to feel sorry for him.

Jubal said:

I don't feel sorry for Gilchrist. But if Morones won't even step into the ring with a guy who's become a caricature, he comes off as afraid to debate.

If he has such a strong case, let him get up there with Gilchrist and duke it out (verbally). The walk out was silly.

Patricia said:

I agree, Jubal. I'd like to see an MSU speaker debate an opposition speaker, too. Until that happens, a group has no credibility intellectually.

The podium conveniently set up outside Gilchrist's room leads me to think Morones never intended to debate him.

All sizzle, no steak: that's the amnesty movement.
