Audio of Chriss Street Press Conference

Chris_street_medium2 I, along with many others, attended the Chriss Street Home-Show-and-Press-Conference today. The Orange County Treasurer led us on a guided tour of the still-being-renovated offices, explained the reasoning behind the changes and showed off new machinery that will make office operations more efficient.

That was followed by a press conference.

Peggy Lowe has posted her initial take here at Total Buzz, and I'm sure will be back with more stuff.

I've never really seen Street in action. He comes across as glib and confident. During the press conference, I noticed the only times he seemed to hesitate to consider his words was when he was asked to affirm there had been no wrongdoing of any kind in his office. And one reporters question about how he paid his Fruehauf-related legal bills seemed to temporarily put him at a loss for words.
