I cant believe the response from CUSD Trustee Darnold. He ignores all the problems over the past four years, takes absolutely no responsibility for his own many failures only to proclaim "we have an awesome school district."
Earth to Mr. Darnold -- are you awake?
Mr. Darnold, have you stopped to consider that "the teachers and parents and students and administrators of the school district have to go through the pain of this effort again…" BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR FAILURES AS OUR TRUSTEE?
Mr. Darnold, what did you ever do to stop the abuses of Fleming, Doomey, Draper and Benecke that were occurring right in front of your face? Did you ever speak out against them? Did you ever vote against them?
No. You never did anything. You let this chaos occur in CUSD. Your inaction and failure as a leader makes you equally and personally responsible for all that has gone wrong in CUSD.
In his entire term on the board of trustees I don't believe Darnold has ever cast a "no" vote and gone against the staff recommendation!
Looks to me like this emperor has no clothes.
When you're an elected leader, it's not enough to just be "a nice guy" - you also have to lead and do the right thing. Darnold has failed as a leader...miserably.
Darnold is obviously in complete denial about the state of chaos in this district and his responsibility for much of it. He also is politically tone deaf because he fails to listen to the voters he is supposed to be serving, and they want him and the rest of the Fleming leftovers gone now!
