"You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about."

That's what our President said during a conference call, in response to a liberal blogger's question about Section 102 of H.R. 3200.  In case you missed it, that's the provision that effectively regulates private insurance out of our healthcare system. I may have to update my previous post about this issue to reflect these new developments.  At first I thought the President was back-tracking on his promises...but apparently that's not it.  Apparently the President has not even read the bill (at least not the parts that aren't helpful to his talking points).  For the sake of fairness, let's just say he's "ignorant" instead of "dishonest" on this issue...at least until we learn more.

Nevertheless, it's troubling that our President has spent more time and energy researching which dog to get for his daughters than he has learning about his multi-trillion dollar healthcare reform.

PS: Can anyone imagine what the main stream media would say if they found a recorded conference call between President Bush, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michelle Malkin (and other conservative bloggers), on how to sell the War in Iraq to the American people?
