Obama Invites Terrorist Lawyer to Celebrate Ramadan

Last night, President Obama hosted a dinner at the White House to celebrate the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.  Among the guests was ACLU lawyer Jameel Jaffer, head of the ACLU's "National Security" project and author of the book Administration of Torture.  So yeah, you can probably guess what Mr. Jaffer's agenda is all about.  According to the American Spectator, Jaffer

has filed lawsuits challenging the FBI's "national security letter" authority, the constitutionality of warrantless wiretaps, and has been a leader in pushing for the shut down of Guantanamo Bay, and providing legal rights to terrorists held by the United States overseas in such countries as Iraq and Afghanistan. His efforts enabled the leaking of "torture photos" out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and some sources inside the Central Intelligence Agency believe he was one of the lawyers who provided legal advice to the Department of Justice to pursue an investigation into enhanced interrogation techniques used by the CIA.

Despite working for the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union, Jaffer is a Canadian. One Canadian law blogger extolled Jaffer as "the Canadian who has done the most for civil rights in the U.S. during this crucial time, and should probably be better recognized and celebrated in his home country."  Another blogger gushed, "Jameel Jaffer has been fighting for transparency and accountability, as well as much-needed reform and adherence to the rule of law, for years with others at ACLU" by harassing FBI agents and members of the military putting their lives on the line in Afghanistan and Iraq.

One thing Jaffer should be "celebrated" for, I suppose, would be successfully petitioning a federal court to lift the Department of Homeland Security's visa ban on Islamist and anti-Semite Tariq Ramadan (fitting name.)  As Lee Smith wrote in the American Prospect, while Ramadan denies ties to terrorist organizations, he "is a cold-blooded Islamist who believes that Islam is the cure for the malaise wrought by liberal values."

A current CIA employee told the American Spectator:

Great. Work hard to defend America and get a Department of Justice investigation that could ruin our careers. Work against America and get invited to the White House for dinner with the president.  I can't tell you what kind of a signal this sends to us, not that we needed another one from this administration.

This is just what you need to squash all those crypto-Muslim conspiracy theories, Mr. President.

Could the anti-American bent

Could the anti-American bent of this administration be any more obvious. Undermine national security and then have dinner with the president. Sickening.

I'm sorry, at what point did

I'm sorry, at what point did "innocent until proven guilty", "due process of the law", "the right to an attorney", "freedom of speech", and "the right to disagree" become anti-American?

Obama

First he wears his "obama" pin on his lapel rather than the Srats and Stripes, then he bows to the king of Sauda Arabia then he invites this militant lawyer to dinner. Is he going to march in the Ramadan Prade to celebrade Ranadan to rub it in out faces?
