Obama Honeymoon is Over

All the propaganda. All the back room deals. All the pork amendments to buy votes.
And all Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi could get was a 219-212 margin to pass the cap and trade energy tax in the House?
Don't be surprised if the $1.9 trillion global warming tax fails in the Senate.
A 7-vote margin in the overwhelmingly Democratic House? That's pathetic. A total of 44 Demcorats voted against cap and trade! It took 8 GOP House members to pass it.
It's not looking good for Obamacare or other future Obama spending sprees.
House Democrats are beginning to worry about their re-election chances in 2010 as the Obama recession continues, unemployment is reaching record levels and the unprecedented debt Obama has piled on the U.S. takes its toll.

As much as we Republicans want his Honeymoon to be over, it's ain't over. Here's why: This President will enjoy a longer than average honeymoon because of the people who voted for him. Those people do not want to believe that they were duped. They do not want to believe that they "fell for hype and the B.S."-- remember, those who voted for this President fancied themselves as being "above-average" being, smarter than the rest of us, being "with the program." and so on. The problem won't be the honeymoon, it will be the fallout when these people finally wake the hell up and realize what a monumental error in judgment they had on voting day. That will only happen as the economy continues to worsen and the hand outs continue to fail to materialize. I actually overheard a couple talking behind me in the line at a grocery store: "When Obama gives us that mortgage money then everything will be Ok." I've heard similar discussions throughout California. His supporters have not had the HOPE materialize YET. And, they are sadly WAITING very patiently for that "HOPE" to be Delivered. Unfortunately for those people, they misunderstood what this snake oil President was promising them. If anything, that HOPE is being eaten alive for generations to come. While his voters are waiting for the HOPE DELIVERY, he and his family right now are vacationing around the world on our tax dollars. Nice spring break for his daughters?

|Sorry to disappoint you all, don't you read the polls? Gallup/June 22-28, he's back up to 60% on job approval this week, 33% disapproval. For some perspective, this time last year Bush had a 30% approval rate. Here's the clanger for you, Obama has 80% approval among Democrats. He's not losing any popularity with us - especially not us "above average" smart Dems. He has 60% approval with independents and 25% with Republicans (up 2% since last week)
Democrats in Congress get 50% approval rating this week, Independents 31%....and, sorry, only 17% for Republicans. Republicans brought the total Congress rating down to 33%.
According to the CBS/NYTimes June Poll, Obama's overall approval rating is holding at 63%, (90% among Democrats) unchanged since last month. Just one in four Americans says they disapprove of the president. 57% approval on the economy, 59% on foreign policy and 57% on national security/terrorism (Cheney's media tour couldn't have worked, huh?).
CNN Poll out today - - job approval steady at 61%. Most Americans approve of how he handled Iran and 75% agreed that the US should not directly intervene. John McCain is just too hot-headed and hawkish. Voters don't like the Republican approach to foreign policy and have so much respect for Obama's intelligence and savvy. He thinks, not just shoots from the hip
We realize how hard you're working to smear him and topple him off the pedestal where American voters have placed him - you wish. We know you're praying he fails - which is very unpatriotic. But he's not going to.

|In response to TruthFairy--Polls--your defense of this usurper who's our President is to quote polls? Give me a break. I think all the pollsters talk to the same people every week or every time they do a poll, as they get the same numbers each time. Thing is, when I talk to people in my circle of influence, I can't find one that has voted for him, one that approves of him, or one that thinks he's doing a good job. Your polls don't mean squat and are just smoke and mirrors. Keep drinking the same Kool-Aid the main-stream media's drinking. It's clear you've had too much of it already though.
