North Korea - A Hidden Agenda

According to the AP: “On Wednesday, North Korea renounced the 1953 truce that halted fighting in the Korean War. It said through its official media that it was preparing for an American-led attack. The U.S. has repeatedly denied it is planning military action.

"The northward invasion scheme by the U.S. and the South Korean puppet regime has exceeded the alarming level," the North's main Rodong Sinmun newspaper said in a commentary carried by the official Korean Central News Agency. "A minor accidental skirmish can lead to a nuclear war."

This is exactly the scenario I have been expecting. North Korea perceives the now obvious weakness of the Obama Administration, and so they will take advantage of it by claiming that their Nuclear tests and missile launchings are necessary because they feel threatened by the presence of some 30,000 U.S. troops in South Korea, supported by another 40,000 in Japan.

I believe they will offer to suspend their nuclear research and return to the Six Party talks if President Obama will agree to the removal of these “Threatening” troops.

Further, I believe Obama will comply.

After all, such an obliging action would undoubtedly, in Obama’s mind, make the North Koreans “Feel Good” about us, and realize the error of their ways.

Having fed our ever-gullible Commander-in-Chief the bait, I believe the North Koreans will manufacture some kind of border incident and use it as an excuse to attack and overrun South Korea.

And what will Obama’s reaction to this be? Why he will vehemently demand increased UN sanctions and send Hillary riding into New York on her white charger to read the riot act to the UN.

Meanwhile, we will have thrown our South Korean allies under the bus, just as we will, inevitably, do to our Israeli allies.

The biggest question then will become: How will Obama possibly find a way to blame this betrayal on George Bush? And don’t think for a minute he won’t try!

No, I’m not going to go so far as to offer this as a “prediction”. Let us just say for now I see it as a possibility. This way, I get to gloat if I am right, but I can’t be blamed if I am wrong.

See, I am learning from Obama already.
