Yesterday Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele announced his transition team.  It included the following people: Reince Priebus, Saul Anzuis, Henry Barbour, Pat Brady, Jim Greer, Holly Hughs, Shawn Steel, Joyce Tehres, and Bob Tiernan.

Notice any one missing?  

Massachusetts Republican National Committeeman Ron Kaufman is not on the list.  Ron has always been a clout man.  He uses his so-called power to entice State Committee members to keep him in the position.  

Over the years many members have been frustrated that our National Committeeman lives in DC not the Commonwealth and uses his position to further his lobbying career, but they have turned a blind eye due to his influence.  It would seem that his leverage is over with Steele now at the helm.
