The Next Step of the Tax Day Tea Parties?
By Dr. Richard Swier | 03/27/09 | 05:53 AM EDT | 0 Comments
With the Tea Parties in full swing, Newt Gingrich's sponsorship, and the recent launch of the Political Strategy Department, things are heating up! The DontGo Movement has now taken on the campaign of Andrew Boucher, a candidate for city council in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The DontGo Movement will be providing pro bono PR and campaign consulting to the campaign. Boucher is a small businessman who has owned his company (Boucher Strategies) for the past eight years. He has consulted for businesses in manufacturing, construction, real estate, and retail sectors. He has a thorough understanding of the issues that face Fort Collins through his writing for Business NH Magazine and Fort Collins Now. Boucher is married to his wife Stacey with whom he has two beautiful children, Bailey (almost 3 years) and Lincoln (10 months).
Boucher will fight to create jobs and build the economy, repeal the tree-unrelated ordinance, develop the I-25 interchanges, balance the city budget, say "no" to trash districting, develop the Mason Corridor, protect our environment, and fight back against the "nanny" city. For more information on his positions and his ideas for reaching those goals, please go to http://www.andrewboucher.org/andrew-on-the-issues.html.
National Communications Director Juliana Johnson states, "Helping Andrew Boucher is an honor for us. This is a small businessman who is the epitome of our values and our goals. We want to get people like Boucher elected to fight for conservative values and represent us as we move forward. These are the kinds of small races that we are getting involved in, the grassroots races that affect us all in our local communities."
When asked about the help Boucher commented, "If we're going to change this country it's going to start at the local level. The DontGo Movement reached out to me and provided support when I needed it most."
