Remember Susan Sarandon's remarks about Obama?  She opined, "He's a community organizer, like Jesus was, and now we're a community, and he can organize us."  It's easy to get a few belly laughs out of this cult of the personality messiah nonsense.  First, Obama didn't do much for the folks in Chicago during his "organizing" days.  A few people got job training, but he didn't help people get jobs, or adequate housing.  Most of it was substandard.

Next, Jesus was, and always is a great organizer who's had a transformational effect on a limitless community of believers for 2,000 years.  Unlike Obama, Jesus practiced what he preached and was willing to suffer and die for mankind.  Can you imagine an opportunistic politician like Obama ever sacrificing himself for anything?  Jesus spoke truth to power, while Obama is the corrupt power that Jesus would rail against.  Obama is a business as usual hustler who practices the "do as I say, not as I do" philosophy.

Was Sarandon trying to speak about America, or just about Hollywood liberals?  Is she so lost that she needs an organizer to organize her life?  Are liberals so desperate that they can't think for themselves as they seek out morally bankrupt leaders?  Sarandon forgets that Jesus encouraged the virtues, human redemption, and personal responsibility.  By contrast, Obama promotes an anti-liberty dependency on the nanny state.  Jesus was selfless, while Obama is a self-centered socialist who cares nothing about the future of this great nation.

It's always a knee slapper when the fantasy merchants in Hollywood and the media fawn all over Obama, who has done nothing in life to merit admiration, or respect.  It's hilarious to hear liberals at CNN and the rest of the Old Media attempt to compare Obama to icons and legends of the past.  Even if liberals someday find out that Obama is all too human, they just might be too stubborn to admit it.

When I think of the lives of Lincoln and Washington, I think of true Americans who practiced sound family values.  They were advocates of individual liberty, limited government, fiscal accountability, free markets, natural law, and robust national security.  Except for the family values component, Obama symbolizes the polar opposite of these outstanding human beings who happened to serve as president.

It's hard to keep a straight face when Obama keeps using the word "crisis" to describe the current economic tailspin, as if government can reverse the downturn.  Government played a major role in creating the current recession, yet Obama thinks that the red tape riddled Feds can boost us out of the doldrums.  Realistically, many politicians distrust the American people.  If there is a crisis, then government bureaucrats will make it worse.  The path to liberty, peace, and prosperity runs through the resourceful spirit of the American people who have faith in the Almighty Creator.
