Same-Sex Marriage Advocates Continue Threatening Yes on 8 Supporters

Same-sex advocates, sore over their failure to defeat Proposition 8, are waging a campaign of intimidation against supporters of the winning initiative.
The latest target is Scott Anderson, business owner and a member of the Lincoln Club of Orange County.
Scott was on Dennis Prager this morning talking about a threatening voice mail from "Kevin" received yesterday.
Click the player below to listen to the voice mail:
Two days ago, the artistic director of the California Musical Theatre lost his job for donating to Prop. 8. Now we have this "Kevin" threatening someone's business for exercising his political speech.
Kevin's boycott threat may just be empty, angry bluster, but should remember there is a thin line between this sort of intimidation tactic and outright thuggery -- as well as the reality that boycott's don't just impact "the rich guy" but all the people who earn a livelihood from that person's company.
UPDATE: Some readers are still having difficulty listening to the audio file, so here's a transcript of the message from "Kevin":

"Yeah, hi, Scott. My name is Kevin, actually I was calling hoping too speak with you and I'll try to call you back later but I understand you contributed a thousand dollars to take away my rights. I'm very disappointed and there's a couple of web sites that are going up. You know, I don't think you have to approve of me, uh, you, being gay, you don't have to accept it either, but I do have rights and that's all that we ask for, the same rights that you have, not to approve, not to accept, but just respect my rights and you did not do that. And because of that I was hoping to talk with you and actually get your side of it, because I do plan to pull out and find out who your customers are and let them know, especially in the food service industry and the larger stores, and let them know exactly how you voted on it, from your coffee company's bags to your bags for the restaurants.
So, I'll try to call you back, hopefully you'll take my phone call."

These are the same people that always seem to claim a monopoly on tolerance. I guess that myth is debunked. I've never seen as many stolen Yes On 8 signs as I did this year with the Prop 8 debate.
There is an active assault on a local Catholic-Owned business called Leatherby's Family Creamery in the Sacramento Area.
Their offense? The Leatherby's gave a money to Yes on 8.
Moderates who may have voted against prop 8 are seeing the true colors of these people and public opinion is back firing. They are being relegated to nothing more than a group of thugs.
I thank God for the country He gave us. I only wish I would get a call letting me know a customer donated to 8... I would have to give them a HUGE discount next time they shop.
There's hardly a monopoly on intolerance; my No on 8 sign was stolen from my front lawn on election day
I placed 80 yes on 8 signs up on the saturday morning before the election and all but 7 were stolen or destroyed by 6pm. The next morning I placed two signs and stood by with video camera to see how long it would take for the signs to be stolen. Within 30 minutes a car with a Human Rights Coalition sticker in the window pulled over anf the females within stole the signs. I filmed the theft, followed the two female occupants to their home. I then Called the police and the police refused to take a report. The Human Right Coalition is an integral part of the new homosexual facist movement. They have intimidated our elected officials and will not stop until they have total and complete power. Sadly, many people, including Republicans are falling for the "just leave us alone" mantra. Well, the true colors are starting to show, and its time for reasonable minds to reject these facists.
I don't get it, what is taking his phone call supposed to accomplish?
There's nothing but vendetta in his speech.
While I would hardly call this thuggery, it is quite funny to see someone demanding that their beliefs be respected while being unable to do the same for others.
Jubal please, this is clearly a boycott. It's clear your using the same tactics the Yes on 8 crowd used... lies, scare tactics, and demonizing the other side.
Any good, fair thinking American would openly question those supporting racial segregation, why should the boycotting of business supporting sexual discrimation be any different?
For all the No on Prop 8 supporters. Does this mean that we should
boycott all the businesses which contributed to the No on Prop 8.
You have many celebrities and producers. I guess all the Yes on Prop 8 should organize and Boycott all their businesses.
They already have rights, they have civil unions. Elton John spoke yesterday by saying "Hetersexual people get Married, Gay people have civil unions"
Didnt the Yes on 8 leaders did the same behavior as the No supporters back in October?

We all have the right to take our business to who we want to support, if your dentist or lawyer donated the wrong way in your opinion you should have the right to fire them and find a politically neutral professional or an affirming professional.
We do not have rights, they are not equal to what is given to the straight community. Civil unions in America (Vermont style) are not like Civil Partnerships offered in the United Kingdom which are 99% equal to straight marriages. Elton is just confused with the American system.
We're just exercising our rights to destroy your businesses and livelihoods if you supportted removing our rights. Why is that a problem? You think taking away rights would go unnoticed?
Businesses being boycotted had a choice not to contribute if they were afraid of losing customers. They decided their personal feelings were stronger. So now they will suffer for it. That's pretty simple logic that even a republican can understand.
This is only going to get worse for the people who think taking away rights is ok. The economic downturn combined with boycotts should lead to some real damage to our enemies.
I would really like to see how big of an impact you will have with your boycotts. Some people that voted No on Prop 8 are beginning to see how Intolerant you are. You have the right to protest and boycott who ever you want, but you do not have the right to Harass people if they do not have the same view point as you do. Take the example of the old lady in Palm Springs. The No on Prop 8 took her Cross and stepped on it. They were trying to interview her and the No on Prop 8 people would not let her speak. You tell me. Is this the tolerance that you all continue to speak about. I am glad that this is happening for people to see your true colors.
