Disgraceful: Another $38 Billion for AIG

The insurance company AIG, a recipient of an already tapped out $85 billion Federal Reserve rescue, is set to receive another bailout in an amount just under $38 Billion. This new taxpayer rip-off comes on the heels of reports that AIG executives went on a junket in the days following the original $85 billion rescue.
The report of the expenditure totaling an estimated $440,000 was for services at the elegant St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, California. The dollar amount covered the cost of rooms, meals, and even spa expenses. All on the taxpayer dime!
The expense was confirmed by White House Press Secretary Dana Perino this morning.
It's time for the public to stand up and put an end to the arrogance and lack of respect by executives such as the one's depicted here. I call on the Justice Department to ramp-up investigations into the conduct of executives not only at AIG, but other companies where losses by individuals, taxpayers, and pension funds has occurred.
If government is going to hand out trillions of taxpayer dollars, there will clearly need to be accountability, and presently this is not the case. All of the money in the world can be thrown at this problem and it won't stop the systemic breakdown occurring now. The event will ultimately run its course.
Like I have said many time before, people need to go to jail and forfeit their earnings from periods where misconduct is found to have occurred.

The economic policies of both these candidates are shaky.. but what about McCain's newest claim:
In Tuesday's debate McCain suggested that if he were elected, the federal government would buy back any mortgage worth more than its home.
Here's a blog which describes the whole thing.
Nice McCain.
Way to support small govt.
