Obama Says Palin Grand Daughter Story a No-Go, Key Christian Leader Weighs In

Senator Barack Obama has, earned some respect from me for the comments he has made about Governor Palin's pregnant 17 year-old daughter. That is not to say that Obama is also acting proactively against the Democrat-machine and media-sycophants that have a propensity for running hog wild on anything they perceive as a Republican hypocrisy. Anyway, here is what he said.
"I have heard some of the news on this and so let me be a clear as possible: I have said before and I will repeat again, I think people's families are off limits, and people's children are especially off limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics," the Democrat said forcefully. "It has no relevance to Governor Palin's performance as governor, or her potential performance as a VP. And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories," he continued.
Now let's see if he actually enforces this 'strong urging'.
Meanwhile Pastor Tony Perkins is weighing in on the matter.
"Unfortunately, teenage pregnancy has become all too common in today's society, regardless of a family's economic or social status. It is a problem that we remain committed to reducing through encouraging young people to practice abstinence," Perkins said in an e-mail to Politico.
"Fortunately, Bristol is following her mother and father's example of choosing life in the midst of a difficult situation. We are committed to praying for Bristol and her husband-to-be and the entire Palin family as they walk through a very private family matter in the eyes of the public."

All things considered, it would be idiotic for the Obama campaign to raise the issue of teenage pregnancies, unwed mother, children raised without fathers, etc. etc.
This is a non-starter for so many reasons
I just feel like crying This choice is so wrong for so many reasons, this is only the latest among them. What other bombshells are going to drop? Why not Carly Fiorina or Kay Bailey Hutchison? And WHY oh WHY do we not have Romney? None of this bodes well for November at all.
How many readers actually think Sarah Palin will be on the ticket on November 4, 2008?
America, meet John McCain's new running mate, New Mexico Congresswoman Haether Wilson.
Coming this Friday.
Oh, and I love Mr. Korenthal's underlying premise: Unmarried teenage sex is now acceptable and is appeantly a new Christan conservative, common sense value.
My advice to Red County bloggers: Stop defending this pick. It won't happen. Let's hope McCain can recover.
I believe Sarah Palin will be on the ticket on November 4th. I also believe that every American family is struggling with the pervasive sexualization of our culture. Whether it is porn/sex addiction or pre-martial sex, the liberal entertainment industry and a public education system that is unwilling to fully implement the teaching of abstinence is to blame for a lot of what is going on.
I pray for Palin and her family and an encouraged that this mistake was not compounded by a much greater mistake.

Let's just hope the hypocritical self-righteous reverend prays for Jamie Lynn Spears and all of our daughters, sisters, and the like.
You know, Democrats choose life as well. How else could so many single mom's be democrats and not republicans?
Seriously? Your evidence that Democrats choose life is that there are single moms? You're killing me Democrat.
