Obama's "Redistribute the Wealth Campaign"

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
- Karl Marx
Yesterday, my wife an I watched a segment on CNN called, "In Their Own Words" in which the producers picked a topic and then selectively showed the viewer soundbites from speeches of each of the presidential candidates. The topic was the economy.
As I sat there really trying to think about and absorb the message of Obama's speech, I found myself appalled; not at Obama, but at all those giddy fans who are selfishly saying, "Yes! Yes! Yes!... More! More! More!"
The world knows Obama is a liberal and a Democrat. What they need to understand is that his value system and his world view is socialist. Really. This characterization is not just political rhetoric from a fiscally conservative Republican. He really does share the ideology of his predecessors and sounds exactly like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, and Karl Marx (I understand Marx founded Marxism, not socialism, but these are nuanced points to be argued in a political philosophy course, not here.).
Take "big oil" and their "windfall profits." Just using these terms alone is a sign. The opportunity to risk big dollars and earn big profits is the epitome of the American free enterprise experience. It, along with the freedoms afford us by democracy are the bedrock of American culture.
Obama's message is exactly the opposite and thus, dare I say, unAmerican. In a statement akin to "vote for me and I will take those profits and give them to you in the form of a $1,000 energy rebate," Obama is literally telling the potential voters that he will give voters a $1,000 if they vote for him.
When combined with the free health care, a second stimulus check, and a litany of other givaways, Obama and his followers are advocating a value system dangerously close to modern day socialism and eerily reminiscent of the teachings of Karl Marx.
