Nancy Pelosi and company have effectively turned out the lights on Americans seeking relief at the pump. Last Wednesday, Democrats chose to recess for 5 weeks without a vote on offshore drilling. While Americans continue to pay through the nose, Speaker Pelosi and her fellow Democrats have literally gone on vacation.
Friday, GOP Representatives convened for an unprecedented extra-legislative session in what is being dubbed the Guerilla Congress. They are back on the floor today calling on the House leadership to take action on one of the most pressing issues of our time. In response, Democrats have killed the House cameras and the microphones. However, several GOP Representatives and an onslaught of excited tourists remain undaunted.
The atmosphere in the House is being described as electric. GOP Representatives are continually updating the party faithful via cell phones on Twitter.

A Call To Arms
This note is really for “moderate” Republican voters; Conservatives already “get it” and Liberal voters never will…
Today, Nancy Pelosi handed down a proclamation to her Democratic subjects in Congress. She decreed that “at-risk” Democrats are permitted to express their independence, with regards to oil drilling and refining in America, if…and only if…it helps them politically. This, according to Democratic aides in Washington.
Pelosi, leading the fight against drilling and refining in America, has been receiving enormous public pressure from Americans reacting to Congress’ continued bungling of the issue. They demand the right to drill and refine, and Pelosi is determined NOT to allow American voters to have their way.
Let’s be very clear: the ONLY reason she will “allow” Democrats on the Hill to take an “independent” position in the fight over drilling and refining is if…..IF….that Democrat risks losing their bid for re-election. It has NOTHING to do with “doing the right thing”. It has NOTHING to do with the “will of the people”. It has NOTHING to do “helping the people”. And, it has NOTHING to do with “saving the earth”.
Democrats in “secure” seats ARE NOT PERMITTED to act independently. According to Pelosi, they are absolutely required to oppose drilling and refining, regardless of whatever position they may have.
Pelosi, in her monomaniacal craving for power, has now demonstrated that she’ll trample on the backs of anyone….ANYONE…including the American people, in order to achieve her goal: POWER.
In a speech last week, Pelosi, defending her stand on drilling and refining, stated that she is “saving the earth” through her stance against the will of the people. What becomes painfully clear, today, is that the only thing Nancy Pelosi is trying to save is a Democratic majority.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as well as the entirety of the Democratic Party, stand firmly against the health, welfare and will of the people of America.
