A Boatload Of Laughs

Almost every time that Barack Obama opens his mouth, one can't help but laugh at the nonsense that emanates from his active imagination. Yet, no matter how much he tries to evade the facts, the facts will someday emerge and give him a rude awakening into the real world. I think it was Reagan who once noted that, "facts are stubborn things."
For example, Obama often claims that he has new ideas, and that he conducts a civil campaign on the issues. Factually though, he takes every opportunity in the book to bash Pres. Bush and John McCain. Many of these criticisms are ad hominem attacks that come out of the blue and are manufactured by his own hyperbole.
A number of times Obama has attributed his own words to some type of conservative conspiracy. He alleges that other folks think that he has funny ears, funny looks, a funny name, and he doesn't quite look like other statesmen in American history.
It's a barrel full of laughs to hear this, because he can't pinpoint the names of people who have asserted this about him. Obama is similar to a jokester, or prankster who transfers blame for his own behavior on to other people. This is typical of how leftists constantly have an axe to grind.
Moreover, he continues to fall into the trap of calling himself a black man. That's funny, because the facts clearly show that he is a biracial individual who was primarily raised by his Caucasian mother and her parents. While age, looks, name, and race shouldn't matter in a presidential race, Obama is making sure that they remain as factors.
In addition, in some speeches he has mentioned that it's important for politicians and Americans to reach out to minorities, or "people of color." It's hilarious to hear this because the 70% of Americans that he isn't discussing are also "people of color."
Obama conveniently ignores the fact that Caucasians come in a wide range of colors and shades, and also have aspirations. Obviously, every human being on earth is a "person of color." For a postracial kind of guy, Obama certainly is obsessed with race, as are many other liberals.
It's kind of funny that Obama still supports affirmative action, which runs counter to American ideals. One would have thought that a candidate of "new" ideas would have moved beyond this failed policy that hurts those who play by the rules. Recipients of quota policies can also be set up for failure. Don't Democrats pride themselves on their beliefs about racial equality and justice?
Yet, some liberals think it's okay to offer college enrollment and employment positions based on ethnicity, or race. In a democracy, college and employment slots should be open for folks with the experience, qualifications, and skills to succeed.
Out on the campaign trail, Obama gets angry when his wife is criticized regarding certain ideas she brings up in her speeches. Don't liberals like him endorse the concept of gender equity in negative and positive situations? Well, if his wife makes speeches, then they both have to expect some heat from the media. Indeed, the established Old Media could be devoting more scrutiny to Obama's inexperience and lack of character.
It's quite laughable when Obama tells Americans that they should learn another language, bypass the American Dream to help others, and give more taxes to the nanny state. Does anyone really believe that he wants to learn another language, or that he would take a vow of poverty, or willingly pay higher taxes? Can you picture him giving up his large carbon footprint in favor of conservation?
In reality, Obama's narcissistic behavior is more like JFK's great statement in reverse. Obama's mantra could be, "Ask not what you can do for your country, but ask what your country can do for you." It's amazing that he's unaware of his own staggering hypocrisy, but I think that most voters will realize in time that this prankster doesn't pass the smell test. Americans have far more common sense and smarts than this politician who seems to hold 3-4 positions at once on most issues.
As a speaker who talks a good game, Obama could make a fairly good lawyer, minister, or professor. He could entertain, toot his own horn, and perhaps convince some folks with his stories and corny jokes. As for being the leader of the free world in a time of war, that's another matter altogether.
The huge responsibility of the presidency should be carried out by an individual of great accomplishments and moral character. That individual would put the American ideals of liberty and security first and foremost. Obama doesn't come close to fitting the bill.
