AP: USA WINNING WAR IN IRAQ!

Posted by: Aaron Park | 07/26/2008 10:13 PM

This came across the wire 2+hours ago...

Note, on the 17th the Editorial Staff posted this from the London Times, it must have been a harbinger that the Media wall of negative disinformation around Iraq was starting to crack.

This story is unbelievable - and of course, it includes the qualifiers in it that sectarian violence blah blah blah... could derail this peace...

However, when you read this - as I did... the conclusion I just drew is that Charlie Brown, running for Congress in my home district (CA-04) has just seen his campaign get dealt a fatal blow. In my opinion, Dean Andal (CA-11) running a terrible campaign (with MTA consulting) just got a new lease on life. When independent voters see that the war has turned the corner and an end is in sight... what a change as Andal has been in the Bay Area waiving the war flag.

If you look into the article - there are some other conclusions that are amazing:

Iraqi citizens are returning to normalcy
The SURGE worked!
The Iraqi government wants us to leave, just not anytime soon
We withdrew 5 divisions of troops because they are no longer needed - even though Democrats were celebrating their withdrawal as an admission of defeat just weeks ago.

I could go on - but here is the AP article in all its' glory

OK - the last time I posted here, some anon commenters told me I was drinking the kool-aid for supporting Romney. Have I done it again? Have I overreacted to this article?

Or am I right? Did Andal just get saved from himself (and MTA)? Did McClintock just get the big hammer to beat Charlie Brown down with?

Did McCain just get what townhalls and deli visits could never give him... campaign vitality? Did this change just derail Obambi?

Did the punch-drunk big-spending non-leaders in the NRCC and NRSC just get a reprieve from a certain drubbing again in 2008? Will they come out of their bunkers now and campaign?
