Susan Sarandon Moving to Canada If McCain Wins WH

Did anyone else hear about this obnoxious comment from Susan Sarandon...
"If McCain gets in, it's going to be very, very dangerous," she says. "It's a critical time, but I have faith in the American people. If they prove me wrong, I'll be checking out a move to Italy. Maybe Canada, I don't know. We're at an abyss." Full Interview
To this I can really only say one thing: I hope Susan is a woman of her word. I think I am just one name on a long list of others whom feel that way.
I will also just say that I will be the first to buy Susan her one way ticket to wherever she'd like to go. Heck- I'd take out a loan to get her a private jet if that's what it took.
This woman is about as anti-American as they get. Maybe the rest of the Hollywood libs will join her....

I find it interesting that all of these left-wing celebrities say how they're going to move to Canada, France, Switzerland, etc. if a Republican is elected because those countries are more "progressive", or "enlightened", yet after every election when a Republican is elected they choose to stay here in the U.S. They like to talk all day about how terrible America is, even though with their high level of income they could live anywhere they choose. In my opinion they know that America is the best country to live in because they vote with their feet. They stay here because this is where the freedom and opportunity is. They only trash America because they suffer from leftist groupthink and have to say whatever is popular in Hollywood.
I'll buy her airline ticket....my only caveat...its has to be one-way with no chance of her return.
You do understand moving to another country is very difficult right? You actually have to get permission from both countries to move, and do you really think the IRS is gonna let a bunch of hollywood millionaires and their tax money leave the country? No chance, USA has them locked in, they make it almost impossible to move, which only further deepens that desire to get the f out when you realize it.
Well if she actually knew something about Canada.... we are currently in a federal election campaign and possibly the most right-wing government in our history is headed to win the majority of seats in our parliament. It is the Conservative Party which is equivalent to the Republican party in the U.S.. They are friends of big oil companies, big business, the wealthy...you know what I mean. They have been in power for the last two years with the most seats in parliament, therefore are the government, but not a majority of them which will change in October's election. Even the normally left leaning french speaking Quebec's polls are showing strong support for the Conservatives. So it really isn't much different here other than universal public health care if it lasts....

Didn't she say that if Bush got reelected in 2004. Personally I'd love to see all these liberals crossing into Mexico illegally. The mexican border patrol will be overwhelmed. Soon a group of vigilantes called "hombres de minuto" will patrol the border.

I was not allowed a work permit in Holland. Even after learning the language and culture they would not let me have a work permit. They welcomed me with open arms so long as I was wealthy enough to live on the interest from my savings. My application to work as a free-lance creative writer and photographer was rejected, even though the Dutch Government is one of my clients, using my photos of Dutch Windmills to sell postcards to tourists. Because there is still unemployment in Holland, not even trained Medical staff like myself can be hired by Dutch hospitals unless they have European Passports. The Dutch-American Friendship act will permit me work in Holland if I start a business that employs 6 Dutch citizens full-time, but my medical expertise has me working for hospitals, not employing Dutch citizens. And, my writing and photography are solo pursuits - I don't need 6 editors to correct my writing.
Germany denied my 'right of return' application because my grandfather left Germany because his religious persecution by the Lutherans was because of his Catholic Religion; he was not a Jew. Only Jews have the 'right of return' to Germany.
I suppose I could be an 'illegal' in a foreign country. I could sneak across the border and work 'under the table' in Mexico for example. Unfortunately, my ethics will not allow me to break the laws of whatever land I live in. Probably because of my Catholic upbringing, I just won't break the rules. I may actively work to change laws I don't like, but I follow the existing laws while I try to change them. This is part of the social contract.
Canada does seems tempting, Canada will let me into Canada legally based on my years education, decades of experience providing Healthcare service, and money in the bank.
Sadly, I don't have enough money saved to retire which would give me many more options, but getting a work visa to work in a Canadian Hospital seems to be one of the easiest options for escaping from the tyranny of America if America continues in its crazy path.
Now, I just want a position offered by a Canadian Hospital approved by the Canadian government before I leave.
I am tired of ridiculous republicans and those who serve, worship them. You people are complete morons. I am for neither party and I can easily tell from simple research that McCain is attached to a Bush camp of fascist and utter psychopaths. There should be a rush to the border of all the liberals....Because, and yes you may check this out all you want.....The liberal cities and states SUPPORT ALL of the conservative states.....Ironic isn't it? We liberals make the money so your overweight republicans dumbass kids can attend better schools wherever you are. You wish us to leave? Oh, but of course, I'm already making my plans. I loved what this country once stood for and absolutely what it could be, which is a leader around the world for peace and education and open mindedness. But now, it it not ever going to happen as long as these fascist whacko's keep running things. Live in this world of non english speaking uneducated mexicans...Live in this world of the richest country that has the best health care but will only share it with the rich. Live where one cannot drink the water nor breathe the air....Live here where violence is out of control and people sit with their mouths hanging open in front of the television. Keep living in this great country of yours. Because you have won, and just look at what you've done.....You truly are great people.
Thank God for people like Susan Sarandon. If these idiotic white conservatives (like people in charge of this website) take over this America again this country is going to hell.Nobody needs Caribou Queen and John McNeedsACane.
