Congressman McClintock?

The folks at Placer Red County have been covering the story of Tom McClintock testing the waters for a Congressional run. Take a read for some detail on his options. I won't get into the minutia of where he'll run but I'll certainly entertain the thought of having Tom McClintock in Washington.
It seems to me like a much better fit for the State Senator than running for the BoE. His experience would be much appreciated by other Republicans in the halls of Congress. After McCain beats Obama (it's really starting to look rough for HillBill) next November we are going to need some fresh voices in Congress to advance the Republican cause. Looking ahead, can you picture an energized California delegation made up of names like John Campbell, Van Tran, and Tom McClintock? I don't know about you but that puts a smile on my face.
You know what else puts a smile on my face? Watching lefty Democrats squirm. For your viewing pleasure here's McClintock taking Senator Oropeza to task for "turning years of Senatorial courtesy and Senatorial tradition on its head". Make sure you watch the end, it's priceless:

This is awesome!!! Thank you Johnny Appleseed
Tom is running for a paycheck. He has no real marketable skill outside of his government job. For a small government Republican he sure loves the government check and benefits. Not to mention, he has never turn down a pay increase including during budget deficits. How selfish, he wants to cut teachers salaries as he accepts a raise.
He could teach but that would force him to have people skills. He would be an awful lobbyist because not a single Dem legislator would allow Tom in their offices and nearly half of the Rep legislators would act the same way.
His BOE seat only buys him a salary for 8 more years. Then he is out on the street. At least in congress there are no term limits.
Good luck Tom. You will fit in DC just fine.
wow............people saying this and that about Rico.....that he'll drop cause of tom; that he can't raise money.....blah blah blah.
Wow.....you guys are REALLY plugged into the machine, huh?? pffffffffffffffffffffffffffft
and you don't know jack. Even that twit parks, is putting out DIS/MIS information about Rico's campaign and mcclintock.
Oh well................from someone who's NOT an insider, but knows the PLAYERS personally:
tom ain't running for jack. He's making noise.
Rico ain't hurting in Fund Raising, and is doing just fine.
Egland hasn't SAID he's not running.....right now? He's out of country.
ose???pfffffffffftttttttttttttttt
So...........people on here give Rico slim to none on winning?? Wth?? Is this the ANTI Rico coalition forming already?
I might not be an insider?? But I'm sure telling the insiders WHO isn't worth a jack for credibility and loyality, much less , honesty nor trustworthyness.
I hope THOSE who need to know, trust the RiGHT people, cause the current flock of mice, aren't cutting it.
Leo, what are you talking about? No one has mentioned either Rico OR Ose in this thread.
That's why we call him Kool-Aid Leo up here in Placer
After having the pleasure of working with Senator McClintock recently, I would almost consider moving to vote for him. His integrity and conservative fiscal views are DESPERATELY needed in DC!
Senator, you have my support and any resources I can gather.
Richard Rios
If Mr. McClintock goes to Washington, I could imagine him becoming active in the Heritage Foundation or a group such as Lew Uhler's National Tax Limitation Committee.
In any case, if the Senator were no longer in public office, don't rule him out of the conservative lecture circuit or the lineup of conservatives who write syndicated columns.
