California Trending Towards Romney

Thumbnail image for Surfboard pic.jpgThree of the most recent polls done in California for the GOP Primary have gone from Mitt Romney being down 9 points to John McCain 40%-31% (Mason-Dixon 1/30-2/1), to tied 38%-38% (Rasmussen 2/2), to Mitt Romney surging ahead by 8 points 40%-32% (Reuters/C-Span, Zogby 2/1-2/3).

Plus, roughly 10% of Californians are still undecided in this two-man race.  This large state would be a huge victory for Mitt Romney tomorrow; despite the splitting of California's delegates in the winner-take-all by Congressional District, the victory would be symbolic and would certainly keep Mitt in the race going forward.

Not to mention John McCain only leads Romney by 9 points in his home state of Arizona 43%-34% (Rasmussen 1/31); whereas Romney leads McCain by 22 points 54.3%-32.3% in his home state of Massachusetts according to the latest Real Clear Politics average.  A close victory there tomorrow will look poorly on McCain.

Romney is still well and alive.
