Mitt Romney's Meltdown with AP Reporter
Posted by: Tomahawk | 01/17/2008 8:39 PM
Today's verbal fight with an AP reporter couldn't have come at a worser time for Mitt Romney. Fresh off his victory in Michigan, and less than 48 hours before the South Carolina Primary, Mitt Romney engaged in a heated argument with an AP reporter on the difference between "running" and "advising" a campaign. Romney doesn't have any lobbyists "running" his campaign, the lobbyists are only "advising" his campaign. Great job in reminder people about that Phony image of yourself, Governor. This thing not only was the topic of discussion on every cable news programs, but it was also featured on the three networks' nightly news shows. Here is the clip for your viewing pleasure:CATEGORY:
Making of the President 2008

Image? Governor Romney has changed his stance on nearly every position over the last ten years. He is a phony and it is such a shame that so many conservatives have bought it. As we saw in Michigan, he'll say and do anything to win an election.
Tomahawk - I know you have it in for Romney, but McCain and Rudy will leave the Cosnervaitve base on the table and lose to Hussein Obama or Hildabeast.
In your exhuberance to get this post up, you made some nice typos.
The real issue here should be McCain and his unstable behavior for eight years after winning NH in 2000. He still thinks he should be President.
Why do you think the Media is all over Romney? He's the one they don't want to win.

Aaron, the comments and analysis coming from the only Doolittle defender left on Planet Earth render your insights being worth less.
Go drink some more kool-aid.
Aaron - I'm not so sure if a GOP Nominee John McCain will deflate the conservative base. McCain is a lifelong pro-life, anti-tax, anti-spending Republican. You cannot say the same about Mitt Romney who was anti-Reagan/Bush when he ran against Ted Kennedy, pro-abortion when he ran for Governor in Massachusetts.
The Evangelicals didn't like him in Iowa. The libertarians didn't like him in New Hampshire. The Christians and military hawks doesn't care much for him in South Carolina. This is the conservative base in which you are talking about right? They do not like your candidate Mitt Romney.
As far as the media, they're critical of Romney because he's phony. Romney's spat with an AP reporter yesterday is a good example of that.
"I saw my father march with Dr. King...", well, he really didn't see it did he, he only heard about it. "I don't have lobbyists running my campaign...", well no technically they're not, they are only providing me with valuable advices.
Tomahawk - we'll see how McCain plays out... and agree to disagree over Romney's viability.
If you could please - edit that anon comment from the Sac State Student who is an Eric Egland supporter?
Flint has to delete that guy all the time off the Placer Blog. I'd like to be able to debate in a professional manner... like you do Tomahawk.
What do you think South Carolina is going to yield in terms of results?
Aaron -- South Carolina may yield various results, depending on who wins the nomination there. If John McCain is victorious, he's the front runner, and will get the establishment support going into Florida, where Rudy Giuliani is already fading into 2nd place.
If Mike Huckabee come in 1st place tomorrow, then I think the chaotic situation in the GOP field will continue, and it will diminishes John McCain's aura even more.
As for Mitt Romney, polling in 4th place, he already abandoned the state and is counting on Nevada to blunt his defeat here.
Thompson must win South Carolina, but that is an unlikely scenario and he will probably drop out to endorse John McCain.
South Carolina will not have an effect on Rudy Giuliani, but if I'm Rudy, I would be cheering on Mike Huckabee or Fred Thompson.
The only thing that will save the Republican party if McCain were to win the nomination would be his loss in November.
God help the Republican party not have to face that prospect. I will personally campaign for Republicans to either abstain in November or rally around an acceptable candidate rather than vote for McCain.
Romney is our best shot but Republicans would do just fine with Thompson, and could hold their noses for Huckabee.
Cato, stop smoking weed. Romney is our best shot? Best at what, being a Repblican clone of John Kerry?
