In a message from our Illinois State Senator Dan Rutherford, who was Gov. Mitt Romney's Campaign Manager for President in Illinois; comes this news:

I wanted you to know that Ann Romney was recently diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. Media reports have Mitt saying she is doing well after undergoing a lumpectomy.
 
In a statement issued to the press, Ann said, "While this is commonly referred to as early-stage breast cancer, it is technically not cancer, but rather precancer, as it is not invasive."

If I learn anything more on Ann's condition, I will be sure to let you know. Please keep Ann and the Romney family in your prayers.

PERSONAL COMMENT: A personal note to the Romney family; I had breast cancer, and mine was invasive.  That was 20 years ago.  Through faith, positive thinking, and eating and exercise, I was one of the fortunate survivors.

There's not a more positive, upbeat woman in America than Ann Romney.  She will handle this with fortitude and the grace we've all come to know and admire, no matter what our politics.
