Lights-Camera-Hypocritical Action

Yesterday, President Barack Obama used a group of kids at Wakefield High School in Arlington Virginia as props to elevate his sagging ratings and distract from the imminent failure of his Obamacare health debacle.

Whether or not you agree with his carefully crafted teleprompter speech or not, the fact of the matter is that it's been done before. And the last guy who did was dragged through the mud for it.

Back in October 1991 when then President George H.W. Bush delivered a similar speech to students at  Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington DC, Democrats, then the majority party in Congress, not only ripped Bush's speech, they also ordered the General Accounting Office to investigate its production and later held a Capitol Hill hearing about it.

The National Education Association also denounced the speech, saying it "cannot endorse a president who spends taxpayers' money on a staged media event at Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington, D.C. -- while cutting school funds for our neediest youngsters."

In light of the fact that education spending is again down, and Democrats once again control Washington DC, can we expect Democrats, along with the NEA to denounce Barack Obamas staged show using students as props?
