RPLAC Meeting: FULL HOUSE
By Allen Wilson | 01/09/09 | 12:00 PM EDT | 0 Comments
The Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC) held its first meeting in Monterey Park since the reorganizational meeting on December 6, 2008.
In a surprise to a lot of Central Committee members and visitors the room was packed with every chair taken, good number of individuals had to stand and attendance was well over 100 individuals.
A small earthquake centered in San Bernardino caused the attendees to be on nerves, but the meeting proceeded as scheduled. It makes one wonder how much of a shakeup will take place ahead for the county GOP.

RPLAC Chairman Glen Forsch conducted the meeting with dignity and made sure things were in order to conduct county party business.
CRP Chairman Ron Nehring attended the meeting to give update on how the state GOP performed in the 2008 elections by beating back Democrats attempt to obtain super-majority of the State Assembly and State Senate. Mr. Nehring reminded RPLAC members as we move forward to the 2010 elections with opportunities that lay ahead and that Los Angeles County GOP is pivotal for success and election victory for the GOP statewide candidates.
Former RPLAC Chairman Linda Boyd was given a plaque for her service to the party as chair from 2002 to 2008 with distinction and is thanked for her efforts. Unfortunately, Linda Boyd was not in attendance to accept the plaque from RPLAC.
