In a stunning move and a surprise to pundits, State Senator Gloria Romero (D-El Monte) drops out of the running for Rep. Hilda Solis seat for Congress.
Romero is now throwing her support to State Senator Gil Cedillo (D-Los Angeles) who will be running against Board of Equalization Member Judy Chu.
Romero drops out of race for Congress
Senator Romero claimed that from the very beginning she was in the race and could even beat either of the Calderon brothers State Senator Ron Calderon (D-Montebello) and State Assemblyman Charles Calderon (D-Whittier), if they were to jump into the race.
Makes one wonder why did Romero got ahead of herself on all of this.
Now, she focus her plans to run for State Superintendent of Public Instruction, which is a non-partisan office with limited powers.
