Rowland Heights citizens will have an opportunity to vote for cityhood next March of 2009.
There are a wide range of issues facing this 11.9 square mile unincorporated community: traffic, urban sprawl/growth and preserving open space.
The development of the controversial Aera project has pushed the argument for cityhood, because the project has caused the fear of more traffic headache along Fullerton Road.
Calabasas was the 88th city that was incorporated on April 5, 1991. Will Rowland Heights become the 89th?
The voters will have the last say next March. Let the debate begin!
