The current Mayor of Pomona, Norma Torres, is running for State Assembly from the 61st Assembly District has caused a vacancy and attracted 8 candidates that want to succeed her.
The race for Mayor of Pomona is shaping up with one of the candidates, Councilmember Elliott Rothman, making headlines lately that has an ironic twist: DUI arrest and questionable MADD (Mother's Against Drunk Driving) membership.
MADD says Mayoral candidate is not a member
As we seen in the news on a daily basis from the Presidential campaign questioning candidate's integrity, background and reputation reinforces the voters to use their wisdom and intellect to gather information before making the right choice on election day.
Obsiously, it is no different for the voters in Pomona casting ballots for Mayor in a city of 160,000, which is the 5th largest city in Los Angeles County, where integrity matters the most even in local elections.

Too bad the Media does not pin all the good that this man has done for his community to the dirt they put out in print. When this election is all wrapped up I'm afraid you'll see how well the people really know Elliott Rothman.
Yes I agree with you, Bill Soles, it is sad Elliot Rothman has this kind of press when he has done good by my opinion. But this website is called "redcounty" and Rothman is backed by the Democratic party, I am not that surprised.
