Monrovia Mayor will not seek re-election
In a surprise and stunning move, Mayor Rob Hammond states that he will not seek re-election in the upcoming March 2009 municipal elections.
City Manager Scott Ochoa disclosed this information in his weekly report.
Mayor Hammond was elected to the post in 2003 and re-elected in 2005 and 2007.
