The San Gabriel Valley Tribune is a local paper that cover newsworthy stories throughout the Eastern Los Angeles County region stretching from Pasadena to Pomona.

Unfortuately, today the paper editorialized their reasoning in endorsing Barack Obama for President, but claming that, "It was not, however, an easy choice." Like my political science professor in college would say, "Balderdash".

SGV Tribune Our View: Obama for President

Though, without hestiation and sitting back by giving the paper a pass, I fired off my "Letter to the Editor" via e-mail today and waiting if they will publish my rebuttal.  In case they do not, I want to share RedCounty readers what I wrote to the paper:

Dear Editor:

Your paper made an official endorsement of Barack Obama for President by pointing out that "It is not, however, an easy choice."

The differences between the two candidates running for the highest office of the land is definitely an easy choice for me and my fellow Americans.

The readers of this paper and throughout the San Gabriel Valley knows for my partisan leanings, but I put my country ahead of my party.

I vote for the right person, for the right job, at the right time.  John McCain is that right person, for the right job, at the right time.

Your paper went on editorialzing by bemoaning about McCain's attack on Obama "with murky assertions over his ties to controversial figures or scandal-plagued political groups, a tactic that smacks of desperation."

You need to know that it is a part of a political campaign to point out the opposition's flaws, so that the voters deserves to know the truth about his/her friends and the company they keep and it is NOT an act of desperation.

We deserves a leader that does not flash in the pan with promises by attempting to be a celebrity on the world stage, but knowing that he will hold our country close to his heart, because that it is America first, second and last.

John McCain is that man who loves his country like the rest of us deserves to be the 44th President of the United States.

Therefore, it is an easy choice for me and my fellow Americans as we choose our next leader, when we cast our ballots on November 4th.

Sincerely,

Allen J. Wilson
