Former Assemblyman Ed Chavez...runs for local office...again!

Former Assemblyman Ed Chavez (D-La Puente), served in the Assembly from 2000-2006, ran in 2007 for Mt. San Antonio Community College Board of Trustees and lost by 379 votes.
Now, Mr. Chavez is making another attempt to run for a different local office: Upper San Gabriel Valley Water District Board of Directors - Division 3. This time he wants to unseat an incumbent Leon Garcia.
It makes one wonder if Mr. Garcia regrets giving his endorsement to Ed Chavez's wife Renee Chavez when she made an unsuccessful run for the Democratic nomination for Assembly in 2006?

Nevertheless, leapfrogging for another local office must be a trait for any Democrat, in this case Mr. Ed Chavez.

I agree, what was Leon thinking. But what is Ed thinking today. He is a lost politician without an elected office. I wouldn't be surprises if he runs for Bassett School Board next.
At least the school board would be more up Ed's line than the water board! Someone needs to tell Ed that his boat left the harbor without him.
