Former Assemblyman Ed Chavez plotting his political future?

Ed Chavez has threw his hat in the ring for the water board position at Upper San Gabriel Valley Water District for this November 2008 election.
However, recently the community activists in the Bassett/Valinda/La Puente area fear that if Ed Chavez doesn't make this time around, they sensed that he will be determined to make a run for Bassett Unified Board of Trustees in 2009, which has three seats up for grabs and the incumbents are Paul Solano, Karina Moreno and Bob Fuentes.
It is no secret that Mr. Chavez is trying to figure out his political tea leaves for the 2010 elections. It will be the year that State Senator Gloria Romero (D-Rosemead) will be term limited and Rep. Grace Napolitano (D-Santa Fe Springs) would have served 12 years in Congress, though she promised not to serve more than 3 terms! Mr. Chavez wants either position as State Senator or Member of Congress.
One thought that when Ed Chavez ran for Mt. San Antonio College Board of Trustees in 2007 that could have seal the deal for his chances to revive his political career, which fell very short at the ballot box.
Though, every citizen deserves a chance to serve public office, but in the case of Ed Chavez running for so many offices will wear the voters patience very thin.
Therefore, career politicians that attempt to plot his/her political future, should give it a rest. When democracy speaks, he/she should accept the mandate of the voters by moving on in life of the real world as a Private Citizen.

Ed Chavez, according to our laws, has the right to seek office as many times as he wishes.
Those who criticize him for this should consider running themselves.
It's so easy to pick and kibbitz, is it not?
Keep going, Ed, and damn the barbs and arrows of the Know Nothings!
