In March of 2008, Pico Rivera Councilman Gregory Salcido requested on the spending details for the city's 50th Anniversary bash.
Since then, things have gotten intensified when the budget numbers got worse for the city, which amounts to $4.8 Million deficit.
Pico Rivera resident Virginia Geary voiced her concerns on the budget during council meeting on July 8th.
Unfortuantely, the council is not saying much on the accounting of the anniversary party.
Officials mum on costs for party
Then, The Pasadena Star sister paper of the Whittier Daily News penned their thoughts, by saying to Pico Rivera not too fast, by putting the council on notice by encouraging the city to open books on all aspects of the budget, including the Anniversary bash.
It makes one wonder, who is watching City Hall on the finances, not just in Pico Rivera, but at any municipal government.
