What's At Stake In 2008

What is at stake is the very fabric that comprises our system of commerce. The unions are going to spend every dime they can squeeze from workers paychecks to defeat John McCain and the Republicans in November. Once they've accomplished that, they will proceed to dismantle the Office of Labor/Management Studies which oversees the activities of the labor bosses. Meanwhile they will be hard at work removing secret ballot elections from the unionization process with the Orwellian named "Employee Free Choice Act" What are you going to do about that?

Believing it's within sight of a major pro-union shift in Washington, the Service Employees International Union announced that it will spend $75 million to help its favored candidates in 2008.
An additional $10 million will be used to pressure lawmakers when Congress returns next year.
It's a record-breaking number for the union, already a top player in Democratic politics. It spent $65 million in 2004, about three times what it spent in 2000.
