Come on folks! Where's your milk of human kindness?
Barack Obama hasn't even taken the training wheels off his shiny new U.S. Senate bicycle yet and already he's entered in the Tour De America.
Gotta be scary.
Here's what's scary for us American citizens - he's passed one significant piece of legislation in his three and a half years in the Senate. Yep, count 'em up folks - won't take long.
Must be something big right? Mortgage relief, massive new programs, foreign policy initiatives, welfare reform, education stuff like he goes on endlessly about.
Would you believe aid to the Congo? That's nice but...
As the Obamamateur show goes around the country, it becomes more and more clear that the junior Senator from Illinois is not ready for prime time.
Unfair! Say his supporters. You're forgetting his eight years of sterling service as a state Senator.
No, but I wish we could.
So far there have been 232 times located where the Man of Destiny from Illinois voted "present" on recorded state Senate votes.
So these were probably insignificant items not worthy of his intellectual firepower right?
Wrong! They were stuff like abortion, the budget, economic policy, educational policy etc.
However, we want to be fair. Mr Obama did put himself on the record in favor of naming state buildings, approving retirement resolutions, declaring special honorary days and months, and lots of other critical matters vital to the lives of Illinois citizens.
There should be a Profile in Courage dedicated to him.
In the U.S.Senate, Barack Obama has really stepped up to the plate. He has voted on lots of really big stuff. The proof is that the National Journal, based on his voting record, named him the most left wing Senator in the entire United States Senate.
That's a real accomplishment that voters should remember in November.
Barack beat out Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, Russ Feingold and several other members of the loony left to be THE biggest loon in the entire United States Senate.
Who says he has no big accomplishments in Congress? Who says he doesn't have a record?
He should be so lucky.
