Alvarez Motion to Dismiss Charges: Denied!
By Allen Wilson | 04/10/08 | 11:47 PM EDT | 0 Comments
U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner rejects Three Valleys Municipal Water District Member Xavier Alvarez request to dismiss charges at federal court in Los Angeles.
Judge Klausner wisely noted in his opinion that "such lies are not protected by the Constitution."
I applaud the Judge for turning the tables on Mr. Alvarez. Therefore, We all should be reminded that once you are caught with a lie, it catches up with you.
It still surprising to local water officials in the area that are aware of the matter, which shakes their heads and wonder what was Alvarez thinking.
The case will proceed for trial scheduled on May 6th, 2008.
