Ackerman Promotes Voluntary Busing

Outgoing Senate Republican Leader Dick Ackerman used his address to the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC) Thursday night to encourage Los Angeles area Republicans to join him in actively fighting the recall of Senator Jeff Denham. Noting that the Los Angeles County Lincoln Clubs Board of Governors had agreed earlier that day to pay for a precinct worker charter bus, Ackerman asked the LA GOP to fill it with volunteers for a weekend in May. County Chairman Linda Boyd promised him that they would.
Republican National Committeewoman-elect Linda Ackerman also spoke, thanking the LA County party for its early and unamimous endorsement of her candidacy and promising to work hard for California when she takes office in September. Los Angeles County Lincoln Clubs Secretary (and former CRP Chairman) Shawn Steel ran up a huge margin among CRP voters in Los Angeles County in winning the hotly contested National Committeeman post in February. LA County has more votes than any other within the CRP.
Iraqi War hero and soon to be Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher talked of his experiences in the Horn of Africa and Iraq during a recently completed six year hitch in the Marine Corps Reserves. Fletcher also mentioned how when he told his wife Mindy that he wanted to reenlist, she said no. So they had a reasonable discussion and compromised - the answer was still no. I joined the other married men in the audience in nodding my head empathetically.....

Dick Ackerman wants to sniff around every where..... from his kitchen area to the neighbor's back yard. It's good to see we won't have to deal with him for too long!
