Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich (formerly a Republican, now a DS) has kicked off his campaign for LA City Attorney.  He had a big event last month with Sheriff Baca and District Attorney Cooley and raised some good bucks.

Carmen Trutanich grew up in the South Los Angeles town of San Pedro. He obtained an MBA Degree from USC before moving on to law school. Carmen has served many years as a Los Angeles Deputy Distric Attorney and managing partner of private law firms. He was recognized as one of the top 10 lawyers in the field of environmental law.

A key note for conservatives is that Nuch's partner, Chuck Michel, is the local NRA attorney and represents several gun manufacturers etc.

Right now the leading Democrat in this race is Jack Weiss.Bob Hertzberg is also looking at this 2009 race.
