Sacramento's Tax Day Tea Party!!
By Ken Campbell | 04/16/09

Ordinary people, young and old, rich and poor, male and female, of all races coming together to affirm the Founding principles that made American great-- and to stand against big government, out of control spending, high taxes, bailouts and "stimulus". The homemade signs were incredibly creative: "Forget Somalia... the Pirates are in... read more »

Neil Cavuto to broadcast live at Sacramento Tax Day Tea Party
By Ken Campbell | 04/02/09
In the first 50 days of office, Obama spent $1.2 trillion between his "stimulus" and his $410 billion pork-laden Omnibus Spending Bill... that is $24 billion per day or $1 billion per hour. Obama's $3.6 trillion budget will give us a $1.75 trillion deficit and this will continue as far as the eye can see. The national debt will double in 5 years and triple in 10 years. Obama's housing bailout is forcing... read more »

Supervisors don't pay taxes??? the story continues...
By Ken Campbell | 03/27/09
As we left you last, link here, it appears that the Placer County Supervisors contracted with Supervisor Kirk Uhler's company, Solar Power Inc., to install a system for the adjacent Juvenile Detention Center. In an apparent no-bid contract, bypassing the permitting process including the EIR, the land was assessed at $1. Former Placer County supervising appraiser Chris Beckman questioned the $1 property assessment. Placer County Assessor... read more »

Protecting Our Freedom
By Ken Campbell | 03/25/09
Our Founding Fathers gave us the 1st Amendment to the United States Constitution, and to ensure those rights they gave us the 2nd Amendment-- the right to keep and bear arms. The 2nd Amendment is the teeth for the 1st Amendment, it protects against a tyrannical government. Every government with tyrannical designs starts by disarming the citizenry. With the bunch we have in Washington D.C. and in Sacramento, we should resist... read more »

Both seem to avoid paying taxes. Pasted below or linked here is the Auburn Journal article concerning the Assessment Appeals Board meeting. It appears that Placer County contracted for solar panels in a no bid contract, the permitting process was... read more »

Supervisors don't pay taxes??
By Ken Campbell | 03/13/09
Bloger's note: What do Obama's cabinet level nominees (Timothy Geithner, Tom Daschle, Ron Kirk, Hilda Solis and Nancy Killefer) and our supervisor's have in common? Both seem to avoid paying taxes. Pasted below or linked here is a very interesting Auburn Journal article-- interesting mostly because all this has been public knowledge but no one seemed to care. Assemblyman Gaines injured while skiing
By Ken Campbell | 03/06/09
Some might say Ted Gaines is soft-spoken, maybe even timid; however, speaking from first-hand knowledge, when Ted straps on a pair of skis he is fiercely competitive, aggressive and a bold risk taker. Every year, on the last Friday of February, hundreds of Rotarians from all over northern California descend on Alpine Meadows for a charity ski race. Bridget Powers of the Auburn Rotary Club puts together an all-star team made up... read more »
