About The 2010 Census....
By Allan Bartlett | 03/17/10
So I received my official goverment census form in the mail the other day from the Commerce Dept. Every ten years the government is required by the Constitution to count the heads of everyone residing in the United States. The purpose for this count is to be able to apportion the House of Representatives according to population. In recent years unfortunately, the census has become a tool for social engineering. They are... read more »

AG Watch: Whither Three Strikes....The Saga Of LA DA Steve Cooley
By Allan Bartlett | 03/16/10
I love going to the bi annual CRP Conventions. You never know what you will see or what will happen during the weekend. Saturday night as Lynn and I were walking over to the Hyatt, we came across a funny scene of AG candidate Harman staffers heckling their bosses opponent, Los Angeles DA Steve Cooley for trying to weaken the Three Strikes Law. Cooley was definitely not happy about having to run this gaunlet. I even saw him... read more »

48th CD Watch: Campbell Votes To Get Out Of Afghanistan
By Allan Bartlett | 03/11/10
It's not often that I have heaped praise on my local Congressman, John Campbell. I want to make sure he knows that I applaud his courageous vote yesterday for Dennis Kucinich's resolution to pull our troops out of Afghanistan. He was one of only five Republicans to do so along with 60 Dems. I remembered reading one of John's email updates about his position on this issue, but I emailed his district director Lou Penrose just to... read more »

We Have A Mike Duvall Sighting....
By Allan Bartlett | 03/04/10
The guys over at Friends For Fullerton's Future have posted up a great "get" with the first interview of Mike "Drippy" Duvall since his resignation in disgrace last year. I don't know what Mike's motivation is for coming out and spilling the beans at this moment, but I'm glad he did. We all like to watch a good train wreck and this definitely fits the description. According to Mike, he believes it was a... read more »

Deal Me In For Online Poker In The US
By Allan Bartlett | 03/04/10
There is an effort underway in Congress to end the ban of online Poker here in the US and regulate it. I say that it's about damn time. There's no way that in a free country, online Poker should be banned. For a little history on this issue, back in 2006, the Congress passed the Safe Port Act. A provision of the Safe Port Act was the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. The UIGEA, as it is more commonly known,... read more »
