Jim Nielsen flipped his endorsement from Steve Poizner to Meg Whitman. This is not new - Nielsen stabbed his friend of 20 years in the back (Dan Logue) to endorse and raise money for his opponent, Sue Horne.

Horne, Nielsen and Whitman have all retained the services of David Reade.

I think that is only part of the story - I think Poizner is too conservative for Nielsen, after all Poizner released "Not Another Dime" in response to Prop 1A.

Nielsen called a ton of his colleagues in the Assembly trying to get them to go up on Prop 1A. Then Reade got to him and ultimately Nielsen voted no -

Nielsen sided with Burton and Willie Brown against a tax rebate in the 1980's proposed by Deukmejian - perhaps Nielsen will join Costigan on the Whitman/Arnold budget team?

I can't afford Jim Nielsen - Whitman won't be able to either, I hear that trailer in Gerber is a mess...
